| Dragon Mistress |
My life, a series of affairs
with dragons of all sorts.
Whiny blues, living with their mothers,
picking at whatever I serve.
Giant greens, reeking of chlorine,
with lots of weight to throw around,
boastful to the point of fantasy.
Fish breath oroborus, slithery
smug between the sheets.
You never know which end is where.
Fire lizards, full of themselves
with their flaming balls.
My current love takes me to the moon
on silvery wings to meet his mother
on Mare Nectarus, a lovely spot to visit
for those who don't need air.
His mother senses I'm no virgin,
I'm not allowed to stay.
Oh, to share that joy!
A passion raw and lewd,
the shrieks that splinter rock,
the sighing windstorms after,
that only dragons know.
