SORCEROUS SIGNALS

Dudes in Distress

A leading line, measured in a tempered thread
Working time, (all night if it takes me)
Not afraid, sometimes violence is a fact of life,
Dealing underground
With goblins and golden rings;

Dudes in distress never seemed so attractive,
Get into a mess and she’ll lead you right out of it;
Just one kiss
And I know that we’ve made it,
My happy ending with the rescuing princess;

What I didn’t see
Was right there in front of me
(Fantasy is so good when you’re in the right company)
My ear’s to the ground,
And I’ll bring those goblins to their knees
Defense is so cool when you don’t need defending;

Girl who sees things, take me to your tower room;
There we’ll fight, but still I’ve gotten fond of you;
So in the end,
I think you’ve got me coming ‘round
You’ve got me wanting
Rose fires
And the lantern moon

Dudes in distress never seemed so attractive,
Just one kiss and she’ll lead you right out of it
Where are the princesses, especially in times like these
To take command
And to rescue all the boys like me?
